Well, life has been trucking along at a pretty good pace, and I don't know if I am even keeping up! We have been so busy I have almost forgot about Alex's 2nd Birthday. It is sneaking up on me and before I know it I am going to be the parent of a terrible two year old. And I haven't even planned his party! Don't know what we are going to do yet. We have decided to have it on his birthday the 15th, but as of now no Idea where. Better figure it out soon it is fast approaching!
I had my first car in the ditch experience on friday. I was driving back from droping Alex off with Grandma in York and on the way back the roads were pretty bad and you couldn't see much and ended up comming up on cars that were pretty much stopped but couldn't see them in intime and ended up sliding into the ditch. I at first tought this is going to be aweful! But I didn't hit anything and I wasn't injured and my car was still driveable, and I was able to drive out of the ditch! Sigh of relief! Then this weekend was my 2nd Pilates class where I learned about the reformer! I loved it, and I was able to get a better understanding of all this pilates stuff, there is so much to remember and so many different pieces! But I have 2 classes down and now only 3 classes left till I can try for my certificate! Which will take till the end of the year at least. I love it though, and I am going to try and get my ACE certificate to be a group fitness instructor as well! That should be fun, and I think that will be not until next year, but it is in my head and in the works! Even a thought of a shift focus in my degree to some sort of exercise science?? we will see I suppose. I proably just need to make up my mind, after all it has been ten years since I started to get my degree. Oh well slow but steady wins the race right?

Are we ready?
Well this first 9 weeks of Camerons new bid is going to be stressful for both of us, not only is it a new shift for him, but I am starting classes at SCC, and I am going to start teaching a class at Prairie life, on Monday nights for Pilates. Even though I am very excited part of me is very nervous as well, it is going to be a lot to take on for the next nine weeks class every day of the week except Wed, and then teaching a class on top of taking one on Mondays. Cameron is going to be more of the care giver than I will for the next 3 months or so. I am going to miss the time that I usually get to spend with Alex, but hopefully this nine weeks will go fast, and I just have to remember that it is only for nine weeks. Only nine weeks. It won't be too bad. I just hope it doesn't send Cameron running back to nights, because it will mean more time with the family less time alone, and he seems to really need his alone time. But like I said only nine weeks, (I think I am trying to make it ok in my head)
Well we are approaching Alex's 2nd birthday, wow I can't believe I am the proud parent of a 2 year old, and although I don't know how smart other kids are I am pretty sure mine is a genius. Ok so I am biased! But it just amazes me what he can do and how much he absorbs. He can count to 10 by himself, sometimes forgets seven or eight, but not often. spells his name, the short version, and repeats everything, knows some colors, and will tell you the titles of the books he wants to read. I realize this is probably normal for an almost two year old but to me he is the smartest two year old ever! lol OH and shapes he know shapes, circle triangle and square... I know I know it is just me being the proud mom, but I don't care, I am constantly in awe of the things he picks up on.
We have our last Christmas gathering on Sunday with my dad, we are going to smoke some prime rib and just hang out for the evening , so it should be a good time and pretty laid back. and then we are done with family parties till Alex's birthday which I still don't know what we are going to do. I wish I had a bigger house to host these types of gatherings, oh well we will just have to make do. Ta ta for now.

The end of 2008
Well we have wrapped up another year. This year started out pretty crappy but ended up much better. I guess in like a lion out like a lamb, however I would really appreciate it, if since this year came in like a lamb that it also goes out like a lamb. Well this year a lot has gone one, and I guess a recap? I moved back home, yeah! Cameron and Alex both had to have surgery. Cameron had his shoulder put back together, and Alex had his adenoids removed. I traveled to Atlanta for the NCAA gymnastic championships with my best friends and sister! I had an awesome time. We then made a motorcycle trip to IL for our MC club, we had a great time and on the way back stopped at the Maxwell's cabin, and did some jet skiing OMG that was freaking awesome, I love the jet ski! From there we just kinda coasted through the rest of the year with no major events. Cameron moved to day for the next bid so we are all pretty jazzed about that.
Christmas this year was very nice, and we managed to get it all done and Cameron wasn't to frazzled by the end of it. :) Alex made out like a bandit, got all kids of cool toys, his favorite one right now is his Elmo restaurant. we went to Grandmas Mimi's house for the Husker game and rooted the Huskers to a win!!! GO BIG RED! and made it back for Cameron's work shift party.
Oh I almost for got about new years eve. We actually started out as not going to do anything just sit and relax on the couch and chill, but it ended up being a really enjoyable night we had an impromptu party. My cousins, sister and boyfriend, Rebecca and Cameron's friend Damian came over we played pictionary which was quickly shot down as it was guys against girls and the girls killed he boys, the boys didn't even make it off start, and they got a little grumpy so we had to switch games. We then went to catch phrase, and that was a blast played that till about 2:45 am and then sat and chatted for a while until everyone eventually left. Made it to bed around 4:15 Thank God Alex slept till 9:30 so I could get a little more than 2 hours of sleep! So what was going to be probably in bed before 12 turned into probably the best new years in a while.
SO anyway as a close to 2008 I hope that 2009 has many more joyful memories and all are blessed in 2009!
Happy New year!
